Netflix has teamed up again with Paul Feig for the upcoming film adaptation of Riley Sager's 2022 best-selling book, The House Across the Lake. Paul Feig, who previously worked on Netflix series The School for Good and Evil, Last Christmas, Ghostbusters and Snatched, will produce and direct the new thriller.
According to What's on Netflix, the project is in early development with a revised script. Also, Feig is busy with Amazon's big death, so he won't be working until his current project is complete.
The cast has also not been confirmed.The release date is likely late 2024 or early 2025.
The plot features characters such as Casey Fletcher, a recently widowed actress, and a couple, Tom and Katherine. It tells "startling and dark truths that turn a tale of voyeurism and suspicion into a tale of guilt, obsession and how deceptive looks can be".
