Deadly tornado and severe storms sweep South

A deadly tornado and severe storms swept through the southern United States on March 25, 2023, leaving a trail of destruction and at least 13 people dead. The tornado, which was reported to be at least half a mile wide, tore through the town of Rose Hill in Mississippi, where at least 10 people were killed and numerous homes and businesses were destroyed.

In Alabama, three people were killed when a tree fell on a mobile home in the town of Sawyerville. The storms also caused power outages and significant damage across several states, including Louisiana, Tennessee, and Kentucky.

Emergency responders are currently working to assess the damage and provide assistance to affected communities. The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for parts of the southeastern U.S. and is warning of the possibility of more severe weather in the coming days.
